Children's Reading Garden &
Outdoor Amphitheater

The Library is currently in the final stages of planning a new Children's Reading Garden and Outdoor Amphitheater in the northwest corner of the Library grounds at the intersection of Swift Boulevard and Goethals Drive.

This will transform an underused section of the Library property into an exciting mixed-use amenity for the entire community. Tiered seating will be built into a curved and sloping grass covered hill facing the amphitheater stage and back entrance to the Library. The amphitheater will provide the opportunity for number of various programs and performances throughout the year.

In addition to the amphitheater, there will be a number features for children and their families. These include a large jungle gym playset with a slide, benches, as well tables with chairs for reading and crafts.

Covered by an inviting grassy lawn, this corner of the Library will be surrounded by a substantial fence with gated access for security.

The initial build of the Children's Reading Garden and Outdoor Amphitheater is planned for Summer 2024. Future enhancements and additional amenities are envisioned, given expanding needs and available resources.
